Our Story...
What started out as a meeting at Pastor Lee Galway’s house with only a handful of students has grown into a movement - with influence in the local government, public high schools, and the lives of hundreds of youth. The unwavering belief that God WANTS to do something in this valley spurred that group into what we now know as ROAR... ROAR: what does it mean?
The time came for an “official” name to be chosen for our youth group. Acronyms (c'mon, it was the 90’s) were really in among youth groups of the day, and it also added a little bit of mystery - what could those letters stand for? Here’s the reveal: Reach Out And Reap. Those letters have become more than an acronym to us - they represent the very reason our hearts beat from day to day. We reach out to help the community and the individual lives we meet every day, and in turn we reap a great harvest of relationships and salvation - all through a life that is connected in deep friendship with God! It’s something to live for. The story doesn’t end here. In fact, this story will never be complete without YOU.
Come be a part of ROAR - we’ll learn together how to change our world by making God’s word and His praise louder in our lives.
